The Squealin Pigs Bio
The Squealin Pigs are one of Ireland,s most sucessful exports in the past ten years. Their success is based on a simple formula, and ability to take old traditional songs, ballads, jigs and reels, add a modern rock feel to it and create a sound, and musical blend of their own. Their album "Makin Bacon" bears testament to this, having sold thousands of copies both home and abroad. The band have played thousands of gigs world wide, in countries far and near. In fact such was their popularity in the United States after seven tours in a two year period the band decided to cross the Atlantic and set up base in New York where they continued to tour and dominate the Irish festival circuit from coast to coast. On return from the states the band took a break to pursue individual projects. In recent times the band have got together to perform specific gigs and tours. The band use a state of the art PA and lighting system put together by their original road crew, and experienced engineers to create a fantastic sound and lighting show. With musical direction from lead guitarist Joe Quigley, regarded as Ireland`s finest guitarist.
